Chevrolet is looking at two ways to “sport up” General Motors’ Delta compact platform. The more radical idea involves all new, “four-door coupe”-style sheetmetal on the same platform as the 2011 Chevy Cruze compact. The car would retain the Cruze’s wheelbase, but with a more rakish roofline that would sacrifice some back seat space for a more expressive design.

Former Formula One pilot and now NASCAR driver Mika Salo has taken delivery of this Camaro Motorsport Camaro V8 Supercharged. The Finn is a Camaro fan who owns a classic 1969 Camaro with supercharger and over 735kW (1,000hp) under its belt. His new 6.2-litre V8 has slightly less at 441kW (600hp) and 747Nm but should nonetheless prove explosive.

Remember German tuner Geiger Cars? Famous for their Martini-liveried, 423-bhp supercharged Hummer H3 as well as their twin-turbocharged 1000-bhp Corvette Z06. Now, following tuning jobs on both the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger, Geiger is wrapping up its modern muscle trio with a supercharged 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS.

The new General Motors announced today that it is going to launch 25 brand-new models into the market by the end of 2011 including five new entries for Cadillac, 10 for Chevy while Buick and GMC will add another 10 new models.
