A new and powerful limited edition Focus RS model, called the RS500, is being launched as the ultimate performance Ford and will provide the definitive driving experience for serious performance car enthusiasts. Making its global debut at the 2010 Leipzig Motor Show in Germany on April 9, the new model has been given the RS500 designation to highlight its strictly-limited production run of 500 individually-numbered vehicles, all of which will be offered for customers to purchase.

The North American market Fiesta is expected to get a hotter-hatch variant sometime next year and this could be a prototype for that model which Ford is testing. The Fiesta mule seen here is a modified European-spec model fitted with Ford’s Titanium trim level and with one of Ford’s direct injection EcoBoost powerplants underneath the hood. Which one exactly, we don’t know. But given that the last Euro-market Fiesta ST came with a 2.0 liter Duratec engine with 150 PS (110.3 kW / 147.9 bhp), we can expect Ford to plant a 1.6 liter turbo or, perhaps, even a 2.0 liter turbo into the tiny Fiesta from its EcoBoost range of engines and provide the hatch with a significant upgrade in power.

The first pictures of the new Ford Interceptor Police Car have appeared. It will replace the long-serving Crown Victoria which goes out of commission in September 2011. Ford has been developing it for some time now and it looks fully-equipped, inside and out, for use by modern law enforcers.
