The Audi R8 V10 was named as the 2010 World Performance Car at the World Car of the Year Awards ceremony at the New York Auto Show. This is the second time that the R8 has won the World Performance Car award: the V8-powered R8 took this award in 2008.

By this April the Audi R8 Evolution racing car will have been delivered to 20 teams planning on racing in various national and international racing series during 2010. These include the two 24-hour races at the Nürburgring and at Spa-Francorchamps. Audi has made a lot of changes to the 2009 cars, mostly aimed at making the experience as user-friendly and easy as possible.

The Abt R8 GT R is on its way to the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. This supercar is of course based on the Audi R8 V10 but with a few performance enhancements. Only 25 units will be produced.

German tuner Rieger has released few details and many pictures about its new Audi R8 styling package. Keeping it simple, the Rieger kit is basically a V10 conversion kit for the V8 equipped R8s.
