JE Design has unveiled a new performance package for the Seat Leon Cupra R. Under the hood, the company installs a revised ECU, a sport air filer and a new exhaust system. This enables the 2.0-liter TSI engine to produce 330 PS (243 kW / 325 bhp) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque – an increase of 65 PS (48 kW / 64 bhp) and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).

The new Volkswagen Polo has been named as the 2010 World Car of the Year. This is the second year in a row that a Volkswagen model has been crowned as the World Car of the Year. The new Golf won the award in 2009.

The South African Guild of Motoring Journalists (SAGMJ) announced the VW Golf 1.4 TSI as South Africa’s 2010 Car of the Year (COTY) at a gala banquet at Gallagher Convention Centre, Midrand, on Thursday.
