The Volkswagen Scirocco is now available with the 2.0 TSI 155kW (208HP) engine. It replaces the 2.0 TSI 147kW (197HP) engine.

This high revving engine has 280 Newton metres of torque which is available between 1700rpm and 5200rpm. The engine is similar to that of the new Golf GTI.

The engine will be offered with an option of a 6-speed Dual Clutch Gearbox (DSG) or 6-speed manual transmission.  It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. It has top speeds of 240 km/h for manual transmission as well as 238 km/h for DSG.

Its fuel consumption is 7.4 litres per 100km for manual transmission and 7.5 litres per 100km for DSG.
